Joint External Evaluation:
Operation of the Least Developed Countries Fund for Adaption to Climate Change

The main purposes of the evaluation of the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) are to

  • analyze and document the results and lessons learned from the use of the LDC Fund in financing and promoting climate change adaptation in development programmes in LDCs
  • to provide recommendations regarding the future role of the LDC Fund and the implementation of the National Adaptation Plans of Action (NAPAs).

The evaluation was jointly managed by EVAL and the GEF Evaluation Office (EO) and was conducted by a joint venture of COWI A/S and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED).
