Executive summary of the Government’s Strategy for the Danish Political, Civilian and Military Efforts

The overall objective of Denmark’s engagement in Afghanistan is to contribute to national, regional and global security by preventing the country from again becoming a safe haven for terrorists. Denmark’s engagement also aims at contributing to the growth of a stable and more developed Afghanistan that can take charge of its own security, continue its democratic development and promote respect for human rights.
