Title:
Danish Climate and Development Action Programme

Subtitle:
A Tool Kit for Climate Proofing Danish Development Cooperation

Summary:
The objective of Danish Climate and Development Action Programme is to climate proof Danish development cooperation in order to effectively fight poverty and promote economic and social development for present and future generations

The Programme includes four elements: 1) raising the policy profile of climate change; 2) focus on adaptation to climate change; 3) focus on mitigation of climate change; and 4) capacity development in partner countries in addressing climate change.

The Action Programme lists sectors, which potentially affect or are affected by climate change and devices actions to address their effects related to adaptation and mitigation.

With the Action Programme, in addition to integration of climate concerns in Danish development cooperation, partner countries are offered climate screening of national development and sector plans.

The main target group of the Programme is staff working with Danish development cooperation. An electronic version with tool kit is integrated into the Danida Aid Management Guidelinies – www.amg.um.dk).
