Overview of the development cooperation budget 2015-2018

Summary

The Government presents its priorities for the Danish development cooperation 2015.

The total budget for the Danish development cooperation amounts to 16,893 million DKK in 2015, equivalent to 0.83 percent of GNI. The aid budget is thereby increased by 620 million DKK in 2015 compared to 2014.

The priorities for 2015 are focused on three areas:

  1. Fight poverty with sustainable growth and decent jobs
  2. Help those in need and promote the MDGs: Women, education and health
  3. Inform, involve and engage Danes in Denmark’s development cooperation

The publication contains appendixes showing the prioritisation of funds in 2015, the division of the development cooperation into a poverty-oriented and a global framework and tables for development aid on the Finance Act 2015.
